Red Smasher Mantis Shrimp - Thailand, 2006
This exotic creature is about 5 1/2 inches long. It has hammer-like appendages powerful enough to crack an aquarium tank glass. Its eyes are very complex - each having 3 separate compartments. Thus it can see three dimensionally with one eye.
