Pink Leaf Scorpion Fish - Solomon Islands, 2005
This leaf fish was about 4 inches in length. These fish are hard to spot because they are quite stationary; but they sway back and forth in the surge looking like a leaf in a little wind.
The reds are filtered out as the sunlight travels through the water, so without artificial (flash) light, leaf fish are not so visible, even when brightly colored.
