The small world enlarged has always fascinated me. Some of these whole images are only 3 or 4 inches across in reality.

Of course the underwater world is filled with lots of different "critters". Many are quite exquisite, however others only their mothers or a scuba diver could love.

The beauty of the reef as a whole is best represented in wideangle. Because water filters out the color spectrum starting with reds, without artificial light the seascape becomes more blue as one goes deeper.

The artificial strobe light (flash) only travels a few feet through the water, but what it does reach brings out the true colors of the reef.
